10th anniversary of the “In Laetitia” Chamber Choir
On behalf of the Council and Board of the Włochy District of the Capital City of Warsaw, we invite the residents of the Włochy District and all lovers of choral music to participate in a unique anniversary concert that will reveal the beauty of sacred music and celebrate together ten years of the “In Laetitia” Chamber Choir’s activity.
The “In Laetitia” Chamber Choir has for many years enriched the cultural life of Warsaw, performing a repertoire encompassing sacred music of various eras, with particular emphasis on early music. The ensemble regularly performs in churches and concert halls, collaborating with renowned instrumentalists and soloists, and through its commitment and high artistic level it gains the recognition of audiences.
The anniversary concert will be an opportunity to celebrate together the choir’s 10th anniversary. The “La Tempesta” Early Music Ensemble, specializing in historically informed performance of music by early masters, will perform alongside the choir. The whole will be led by Jakub Burzyński, conductor and educator. On the occasion of the ongoing celebrations of the Jubilee Year of St. Francis of Assisi and the 800th anniversary of the saint’s death, a work dedicated to him will be performed – “Beatus Franciscus,” by composer Jeronimo de Aliseda.
The anniversary concert will take place on Saturday, 3 October 2026 at 7:30 p.m. in the parish church of St. Francis of Assisi at ul. Hynka 4 A, one of the most recognizable churches of the Włochy District. The parish’s patron, St. Francis, is a symbol of joy, peace, and love of the beauty of creation, which is why this place provides a unique setting for the sacred music presented. The spacious interior of the church, valued for its acoustics conducive to choral and oratorio performances, will allow listeners to fully experience the richness of the sound of voices and historical instruments. The concert will be not only a musical celebration on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the “In Laetitia” Chamber Choir, but also an opportunity for the residents of Włochy to meet in a shared experience of culture and art in a unique place on the district’s map.
Admission free. The event is held as part of the ongoing Włochy Senior Month.
The concert will feature soloists: Julita Mirosławska – soprano, Barbara Kucharczyk – soprano, Joanna Motulewicz – alto, Sylwester Smulczyński – tenor, Dawid Biwo – bass.
The evening’s program will include works by outstanding composers of sacred music:
