30th Korczak Today Festival of Theatre for Children and Young People

The program will feature performances from Poland, Belgium and Germany, intended for audiences from three years old to teenagers. The performances will be accompanied by workshops, meetings and conversations during which the young audience will be treated not only as recipients, but also as active partners and co-creators of theatrical events. The festival will open on 16 October with the performance “Power Play” directed by Samara Hersch, presented at TR Warszawa. The starting point for the performance was “King Matt the First” by Janusz Korczak. In it, children and adults together examine the mechanisms of power, negotiation, taking responsibility and listening to one another. The organizer of the festival is the Polish Centre of the International Association of Theatres for Children and Young People ASSITEJ.
