Cannons, armored Fords and military pea soup. Historical picnic at Szczęśliwicki Park

From 12:00 to 17:00 the park will turn into a living history lesson. The event is aimed at children, young people, adults and entire families who want to learn more about General Tadeusz Rozwadowski and the realities of soldiers' lives in the early 20th century. Participants will be able to enjoy the historical zone "Become a Volunteer of 1920". It will be possible to visit a recruitment point, look into a Field Hospital and test your fitness on a military obstacle course. There will also be a historical exhibition, locksmith workshops with stamping a mark, and demonstrations of casting figurines in a workshop trailer. A special attraction will be the presentation of historical military vehicles. Renault CV22, White and GMC Ambulance trucks from 1916, among others, will appear in Park Szczęśliwicki. Visitors will also see a Ford T pickup and a Ford Tf-c armored car, which recall the dynamic development of military technology from over a century ago. Military enthusiasts will also be able to take a closer look at artillery equipment. The program includes demonstrations of a 76.2 mm Pravoslavnaya Cannon and a 1920 Trench Bomb Thrower. History, however, is not only educational. It is also the everyday life of the people living in those times. That is why the picnic will also feature a military field kitchen and traditional pea soup, which for years has been associated with patriotic and military events. The picnic is meant to show history in a close and accessible way. Instead of a school desk, there will be historical exhibits, vintage vehicles, workshops and the opportunity for direct contact with enthusiasts of reconstruction and the history of Polish arms. The event will also be attended by the Mayor of the Ochota District of the Capital City of Warsaw, Piotr Krasnodębski.
