Workshop Schedule
November 7 (Saturday) – Samogłoska, Miejsce Aktywności Lokalnej
ul. Samogłoska 9a, unit 3, 1st floor (no elevator), entrance from ul. Balaton
10:00 – 14:00 | "Me on the internet, me in reality. What is personal branding all about?"
Instructor: Michał Domański
Does our online profile show us, or rather the character we want to show others? During the workshop we will talk about the online persona. We will consider why so much is said about personal branding, how much of it is truth and how much is creation, and what happens when the image begins to diverge from reality. We will discuss how to consciously build your image, what artificial intelligence (AI) changes when generating content in a few moments, and also where the boundaries of privacy and credibility lie.
14:30 – 18:30 | "Thinking in the age of algorithms"
Instructor: Paweł Gołąb
We live in a world where our everyday choices are rarely fully our own. Recommendation algorithms suggest what to watch, read and buy, imperceptibly shaping our reality. We will organize the basic concepts and check how these mechanisms function in practice. The workshop will be a space for critical reflection on the digital environment – together we will look for answers to the question of whether we can regain agency in a world designed to constantly hand us ready-made choices.
November 8 (Sunday) – Bielany District Office of the Capital City of Warsaw
ul. S. Żeromskiego 29, 5th floor
10:00 – 14:00 | "My internet bubble. Who chooses what I see?"
Instructor: Michał Domański
The internet was supposed to be a global village. So why do we so easily close ourselves among the same opinions, topics and faces? We will talk about how our information bubble is created and what part algorithms play in it, and what part we ourselves play. We will consider how to recognize what we are looking for ourselves and what the network regularly feeds us, and how to effectively step outside the everyday set of information to better understand what and why appears on our screen.
November 19 (Thursday) – MAL Kasprowicza 14
ul. Kasprowicza 14, Stacja Metra Słodowiec
17:00 – 20:00 | "Safety of adults and children on the internet"
Instructor: Łukasz Kowalkowski
A workshop for those who want to understand the rules of safe access to the network. Using examples of everyday situations, we will discuss recognizing threats, protecting data and privacy, and the principles of responding to problems. An in-person meeting with examples and discussion.
Meeting agenda:
1. Threats on the internet and fraud mechanisms (suspicious messages, manipulations).
2. Everyday safety (protecting accounts, devices and privacy).
3. Credibility of information and online contacts (fake news, fake profiles, AI).
4. A child in the digital world (games, social media, situations requiring adults' attention).
5. Family safety rules (conversation, arrangements, seeking help).
6. Participants' questions and a summary of the most important rules.
