In the face of contemporary challenges and dynamic changes in the security architecture, the awareness of its residents becomes a key element of every city's resilience.
For this reason, the Ochota District Office invites all interested parties to participate
in specialized workshops. The same comprehensive training program will be delivered on four different dates and in two locations to enable as many people as possible to take part.
The safety of our local community begins with reliable knowledge and simple, learned habits. We want the residents of Ochota to know how to keep a cool head and how to realistically help themselves and their neighbors in a crisis situation. We focus on workshops with experienced practitioners, where theory is immediately translated into exercises - says Piotr Krasnodębski, Mayor of the Ochota District.
Theory and practice - 3 hours that can save a life
Each meeting will last a total of 180 minutes and will be divided into two blocks:
Theoretical part (90 minutes): Participants will learn how to recognize alarm signals and warning messages, how to assemble a personal evacuation backpack for survival in conditions of prolonged threat, and where to look for shelter locations. An important element will also be learning how to build psychological resilience and how to recognize and respond to disinformation online.
Practical part (90 minutes): Workshops on first aid
in crisis conditions, organization of assistance activities, and learning effective cooperation and coordination in a group under time pressure.
The training will conclude with an open discussion during which participants will be able to ask questions and resolve any doubts.
Experienced staff and expert knowledge
The classes will be led by Jakub Rymko – an active professional soldier serving in the military since 2007, a veteran of foreign missions. Since 2012, he has been involved in medicine in tactical conditions. He is also a graduate of the prestigious Advanced Hazmat Life Support course (Georgia University in Washington), and on a daily basis actively works within the structures of the State Medical Rescue.
The substantive partner of the series is Krzysztof Meszyński Consulting – a Polish expert company officially verified in the field of Civil Defense, which for years has been providing solutions in the area of defense planning for the public sector and government administration.
