POLIN Reading Room: Autocorrect – a meeting with Etgar Keret

October 29, 2026, 18:00 · Muzeum Historii Żydów Polskich POLIN · ulica Mordechaja Anielewicza 6
What would happen if we could turn back time by thirty seconds, fix a mistake we made, or relive an important conversation? These possibilities are opened up to readers by In Keret's short stories, everyday life unexpectedly changes the rules, and seemingly ordinary situations lead to surprising events. Fantastic ideas and absurd humor allow us to look closely at experiences familiar to everyone: the need for love, loneliness, loss, and the search for hope. "Autocorrect" also poses the question of what we would like to change if life gave us another chance. Etgar Keret is one of the most recognizable contemporary Israeli writers. His work, translated into over forty languages, has also inspired filmmakers for years. The meeting as part of the POLIN Reading Room will be an opportunity to discover his latest book and hear from an author who, in literary miniature, can combine comedy with a moving reflection on the human condition. The conversation will be held in English with translation into Polish. More on the museum's website
