Design Thinking in education – how to design climate and disinformation education that truly engages young people?

Design Thinking is a method that helps design solutions based on the real needs of recipients. In education, it can be particularly useful when we want to better understand students and create activities that respond to their questions, experiences, and way of looking at the world. During the workshop, participants will go through the entire process step by step. They will start with empathy and diagnosing students' needs, then move on to generating ideas, and finally create and test their own prototype of an educational solution. The topic of the work will be climate education and disinformation. Participants will reflect on how to talk about these issues in an engaging, understandable way that is close to the experiences of young people. The workshop is practical in nature. Participants will receive Design Thinking tools that they can use in their classes, ideas for working with climate and disinformation topics, and a PDF material summarizing the meeting.
