Filmatura - Literary Film Festival

For the first time, on such a large scale, the work of filmmakers from around the world who adapted the prose of the author of "Heart of Darkness" or referred to Conradian motifs in a less direct way will be presented. These films, to a large extent, are not widely known in Poland – nor are their connections to Conrad. Meanwhile, in terms of universality and influence on readers around the world, Conrad has no equal among writers of Polish origin. In addition, as the only one from this group, he is part of the strict international literary pantheon. The program of the 3rd edition of the Literary Film Festival FILMATURA, devoted to Joseph Conrad, will include classic and contemporary adaptations of his prose, feature and documentary series, television theatre, documentaries, and animations referring to his work. There will also be meetings with guests, discussion panels, workshops for young people, and many other accompanying events. The festival will take place on November 20-29 at Kino Luna in Warsaw.
