It’s New Year’s Eve 2125. Ava, a stage star and the great-great-great-great-granddaughter of Mieczysław Fogg, hosts a New Year’s concert at the Palace of Culture in Warsaw. Blending music, stand-up, and witty commentary, she talks about a future world in which political absurdities, the climate crisis, and social tensions sound surprisingly familiar. When the protagonist discovers a truth that undermines the foundations of her identity, Mieczysław Fogg’s songs become her guide through a suddenly foreign reality. “FOGG 2126” is a futuristic monodrama about the need for closeness, empathy, and contact with art, invoking the work of the master of Polish song in new arrangements.
