Let's look at Warsaw in motion from a historical perspective and discover how the capital's sports landscape has changed over the decades.
What were the beginnings of sport in Warsaw like? Where did the first Warsaw athletes train, and how have the places associated with physical activity changed over the years? Will the Olympic Games ever be held in Warsaw? During a tour of the exhibition, we will learn the history of the city told from the perspective of movement, sport and competition.
We will trace the development of Warsaw sport from the first gymnasiums and sports clubs, through the great investments of the 20th century, to contemporary forms of urban activity. We will look at legendary venues such as Stadion Dziesięciolecia and Skra, and discover what role they played in the lives of successive generations of residents. We will talk about the successes, transformations and challenges that shaped the capital's sports landscape. This is a story not only about sport, but also about Warsaw and its constantly changing space.
