Kalina" Musical performance about Kalina Jędrusik

"Kalina" A musical performance about Kalina Jędrusik 8 November / 18:00 We invite you to an extraordinary meeting with a legend of the Polish stage — Kalina Jędrusik, performed by Jagoda Rall from Teatr Bo Tak. It is a touching, brilliant and humorous story about the Sexbomb, the Diva of the PRL era and one of the most charismatic figures of Polish culture. The performance shows all the colours of the titular Kalina — a sensual, witty, rebellious woman full of energy, but also sensitive and hiding many secrets. Kalina seduces. Kalina makes you laugh. Kalina moves you. In the performance you will hear unforgettable songs that Kalina Jędrusik herself performed years ago, including "Mój pierwszy bal", "Z kim tak Ci będzie źle jak ze mną" and "Ciepła wdówka na zimę". The musical story is complemented by anecdotes from the Artist's life, memories and stories that allow you to look behind the scenes of her extraordinary world. But this is not a performance that you can simply watch from a safe distance. Kalina crosses the symbolic fourth wall and invites the Viewer into her world. She draws the audience into the story, enchants, entertains and wraps them in her voice. Here the boundary between the stage and the audience becomes extremely thin — because anyone can become part of this story. Don't worry — so far no one has been hurt! "Facing Kalina Jędrusik — her legend, sex appeal, beauty, temperament, a hundred secrets and thousands of rumours — is already a kind of heroism. However, Jagoda managed not only to approach this comprehensively talented Artist in beauty, but also to find her way of moving, her facial expressions and her characteristic voice with a slight huskiness, which sounded especially captivating in songs. Jagoda in her Kalina is of course not only delicious and charming, but also whets the appetite for more. Her character was considered a great coquette, it would be hard for a fresh Jagódka, like a forest berry, not to follow in her footsteps. The awards she has already won speak for themselves." — Krzysztof Kucharski (review) Before you is a meeting with a woman who cannot be forgotten. Kalina Jędrusik returns. She seduces. She entertains. She moves. And she invites you into her world.
