Movie Thursdays for Seniors

22 October – "The Fifth Season of the Year" Barbara and Witek differ in almost everything, and yet they set off together by car to the seaside. A journey that was supposed to have a clearly defined destination quickly turns into a story about two people meeting, music and memories. 5 November – "There Is Always Time for Love" Emily meets an eccentric resident of a small cottage on the outskirts of London and decides to help him fight for his home. From this unlikely acquaintance grows a warm, English-humour-filled story about a feeling that pays no heed to age or convention. 19 November – "Grumpy Old Men" John and Max have been nurturing a neighbourly feud for over half a century, exchanging barbs with admirable consistency. The arrival of a new female resident makes their rivalry pick up pace, and viewers get a sparkling comedy starring Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau. 3 December – "Amadeus" At the imperial court, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, endowed with dazzling talent, and Antonio Salieri, who fully understands the greatness of his rival, meet. Miloš Forman's film combines musical sweep, a costume spectacle and a bitter tale of envy towards genius. 10 December – "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" A group of British pensioners arrives in India, lured by the promise of a stay in a luxury hotel which, on site, turns out to be far more modest than in the brochure. Amid colours, bustle and everyday surprises, the characters begin to discover that not every mistake in a travel plan requires a complaint. 17 December – "The Move" Engineer Andrzej Nowicki decides to leave his previous life behind, orders a removal van and sets off on the road with virtually no belongings. This unusual expedition reveals the story of a man trying to escape his past, but gradually convinces himself that the hardest thing is to move out of oneself. All screenings will begin at 17:00 in the auditorium of the District Office at ul. Klimczaka 2. The film Thursdays are hosted by the Mayor of the Wilanów District Ludwik Rakowski and the Chairman of the Wilanów District Council Hubert Królak.
