Lewandowski. The Real One" – meeting with Sebastian Staszewski

This will be a meeting not only about football. It is a story about the journey of one of the most outstanding Polish footballers – from the beginnings of his career, through the successive levels of the football world, to his position as one of the most recognizable strikers in the world. The author, drawing on conversations with over 250 people, shows both Lewandowski's sporting successes and the lesser-known behind-the-scenes aspects of his career, relationships, conflicts, difficult moments and decisions that shaped his path to the top. During the meeting, the Bielany thread of Robert Lewandowski's story may prove particularly interesting. We will learn what connects the footballer with Bielany, what role Wrzeciono played in his family history and what ties his family had with our district. This is an opportunity to look at a well-known figure from a completely different, local perspective – not only through the prism of stadiums, big clubs and the Polish national team, but also the places that were part of his family history. Sebastian Staszewski is one of the most experienced Polish sports journalists, a publicist, screenwriter and author of books. He was editor-in-chief of TVP Sport, collaborated with the most important sports media in Poland and has repeatedly reported on European and world football championships. He is also the author of the book "Tajemnice Kadry" about Adam Nawałka's national team and "Peszkografia" – the autobiography of Sławomir Peszko. "Lewandowski. Prawdziwy", whose premiere took place in November 2025, quickly found itself on the podium of the Empik bestseller list and became one of the most talked-about sports books of recent years. The publication was nominated for the Book of the Year award of Lubimyczytac.pl and was among the books distinguished in the Górnośląska Nagroda Literacka "Juliusz".
