Between the Light of Legend and the Shadow" Celtic family workshops and kamishibai theater

During the workshops, participants will create large-format patterns inspired by Celtic art, using intense fluorescent colors. The finished works will be presented during the final event in a space illuminated with ultraviolet light, which will bring out their extraordinary glow and create an atmosphere of magic, mystery, and a fairy-tale world. For those who prefer smaller forms, we will prepare painting of stones decorated with Celtic symbols. Everyone will be able to create their own unique amulet or souvenir inspired by Irish culture. The workshops will be accompanied by a story about the extraordinary customs and traditions of Ireland. Participants will learn interesting facts related to Celtic holidays, symbolism, and ancient beliefs. There will also be unique legends presented in the form of a kamishibai theater, which will introduce both children and adults to the world of Irish heroes, mysterious creatures, and magical tales. The whole will be complemented by atmospheric Celtic music, building a unique mood and transporting participants into the extraordinary world of Irish imagination. The result of the joint work will be a final exhibition and performative activities dedicated to the motifs of light, shadow, and legends, prepared together with residents. The workshops will be led by Eliza Radzanowska and Iza Toroniewicz, inviting participants to engage in creative action, discover new inspirations, and co-create an event that integrates the local community. Admission to the event is free; free entry passes are required. They can be collected: online through the Biletyna portal or in person at the WCK ticket offices (Monday to Friday, 11:00–15:00).
