Her works, full of associations, emotions and memories, form a personal, poetic story written with line and form. Drawing is for her what the word is for a writer. She “writes” her story in cycles of drawings. The composition of the works is distinguished by lightness and a freedom in the arrangement of forms resulting from the spontaneity of gesture. A sensitive, varied line builds an undefined space, introducing us into a world of understatement and poetic metaphors. The muted, reflective work of Barbara Zielińska, situated on the margins of fashionable trends, is close to me.
