Broadway musical

"[Tytuł przedstawienia]" tells the story of a group of young artists who get the chance to take part in a competition for a new musical. With only three weeks to prepare their project, they must face time pressure, the lack of a ready idea and their own ambitions. In search of inspiration, they decide to create a show based on their experiences, dreams and everyday work on the musical. The show is based on a story that really happened. Its protagonists are young artists dreaming of success on Broadway, and the inspiration for the plot was the experiences of the creators of the original musical, who also had only a few weeks to prepare their competition show. The Polish premiere of the musical took place on 3 October 2026 at the Kujawsko-Pomorski Teatr Muzyczny in Toruń. The director of the show is Marek Kałużyński, deputy director for programming at the Ursynowskie Centrum Kultury "Alternatywy". The show stands out for its intimate form, live-performed music and the dynamic acting of the young performers. The Warsaw performances, which will take place on 20 and 21 November on the stage of "Alternatywy", will be an opportunity to see this production just a few weeks after its Polish premiere. The show features Antoni Jaruszowic, Zofia Pacholczak, Krzysztof Preyer and Urszula Rossowska. At the piano sits Bartosz Staszkiewicz, who is also responsible for the musical direction and plays the role of Larry. The off-stage voices were provided by Joanna Koroniewska and Maciej Dowbor. The Polish translation is by Anna Wołek, the song lyrics were translated by Donata Gierczycka, the set design was prepared by Wojciech Stefaniak, the choreography by Ewa Mociak, and the vocal preparation by Joanna Czajkowska.
