11th Festival of Abstract Thought: On Oat Milk, Lactose-Free

After years of faith in the neoliberal project, based on individual responsibility for one's own fate, which after the transformation shock had for a long time displaced their discursive presence, social classes have become "fashionable" again. We observe the return of classes not only in academia, but above all in the broader public debate, including in the media. The latter, in the vast majority, are alarming about the deepening crisis and decline of the middle class, to which, according to CBOS data (2020), 77% of us declare belonging. During this year's Festival we will critically examine these self-identifications and the hegemonic "language of the middle". We will trace our own experiences, embedding them in broader, structural conditions and relations. This is already the 11th edition of the Festival of Abstract Thought, co-financed by the City of Warsaw. Free admission. The program is available on the event's website. 11th Festival of Abstract Thought
