National Independence Day at Ochota
November 12, 2026, 10:00 · III Ogród Jordanowski · III Ogród Jordanowski
The event program refers to the events and figures associated with Poland regaining independence. Participants will meet reenactors portraying, among others, Józef Piłsudski, Józef Haller, Wincenty Witos, Roman Dmowski, and Tadeusz Rozwadowski. In this way, the people who played an important role in rebuilding Polish statehood after 123 years of partitions will be remembered.
The celebrations will begin with a joint singing of the national anthem. The program also includes a concert of patriotic songs performed by the Sonus Innumerabiles choir under the direction of Artur Backiel.
For residents, we have also prepared historical workshops led by reenactors. It will be possible to sew a white-and-red armband, stamp the Fighting Poland symbol on a metal disc, make a keychain from a historical shell casing, and cast a figurine of a soldier.
The event is open to the public and is aimed at residents of all ages.
