Seniors' Week in Ursynów 2026

Trips Senior Week will begin with a unique journey through time. On 12, 13 and 14 October at 10.00 a.m., trips under the slogan: I SUPPOSE I DOUBT! OR IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF “THE FORTY-YEAR-OLD” will set off from outside the Ursynów District Office at al. KEN 61. Participants will board a vintage Jelcz “Ogórek” bus and follow the trail of Jerzy Gruza’s cult series and Warsaw of the 1970s. The route will include, among others, Dworzec Centralny and Trasa Łazienkowska, as well as places that appeared in “Czterdziestolatek”, including the housing estate where engineer Stefan Karwowski lived. There will also be other attractions: a ride in the iconic city Jelcz MEX 272, a meeting with an Ikarus, vintage cars, live music and refreshments in the spirit of the 1970s. The trips are free, but the number of places is limited. Telephone reservations are required at 22 443 72 48. Reservations will be taken on 9 October from 10.00 a.m. One person may register a maximum of two people. Cinema On 12 October at 6.30 p.m. at UCK “Alternatywy” (ul. Gandhi 9), there will be a screening of the film “THE BLUE CAFTAN” directed by Maryam Touzani. The Belgian-French-Spanish-German-Moroccan production tells the story of Maria Ángeles, who after forty years must leave her home in Tangier. A story of loss, memory and attachment to a place becomes at the same time a tale of a new beginning, friendship and unexpected love. Free tickets will be distributed on 12 October from 5.00 p.m. at the Main Information Desk of the Ursynów District Office at al. KEN 61. Theatre On 15 October at 7.00 p.m. at Dom Sztuki – Teatr Za Dalekim (ul. Wiolinowa 14), you will be able to see the performance “MIANUJOM MIE HANKA” directed by Mirosław Neinert, performed by Grażyna Bułka. It is a moving story about Silesian fates, family memory and the experiences of successive generations, based on a text by Alojzy Lysko. Free tickets will be available at Dom Sztuki from 9 October from 4.00 p.m. Concerts The musical part of Senior Week will have many facets. On 14 October at 7.00 p.m. at UCK “Alternatywy” (ul. Gandhi 9), the greatest hits of French chanson will resound. The concert “EDITH PIAF AND THEM – AZNAVOUR, MONTAND, MOUSTAKI...” is a musical story about Edith Piaf and the men who played an important role in the life of the legendary artist. Justyna Bacz and Chris Schittulli will be accompanied by Mariusz Dubrawski, Karol Podkul, Michał Zuń and Jarosław Gaś. Free tickets will be available at UCK “Alternatywy” from 9 October from 4.00 p.m. On 16 October at 6.30 p.m. at Dom Kultury Imielin (ul. Amundsena 4), Jacek Borkowski will perform with the concert “LOVE IS THE WHOLE WORLD”. The well-known actor and vocalist will present world hits, including songs by Frank Sinatra, Charles Aznavour and Gilbert Bécaud. Free tickets will be available at Dom Kultury Imielin (ul. Amundsena 4) from 13 October from 4.00 p.m. On 17 October at 6.00 p.m., at Dom Kultury Stokłosy (ul. Lachmana 5), the concert “PEARLS OF CLASSICS... BEAUTY WITHOUT BORDERS” will be held, performed by Anna Pastor. The programme includes opera, operetta, musical and film pieces – among others, arias from “Carmen”, “Giuditta” and “Countess Maritza”, compositions from the musicals “My Fair Lady” and “Cats”, as well as “Por una cabeza” and “Salut d’amour”. Free tickets will be available at Dom Kultury Stokłosy (ul. Lachmana 5) from 14 October from 4.00 p.m. To conclude Senior Week, on 18 October at 6.00 p.m., DOK Ursynów (ul. Kajakowa 12b) invites you to a concert by GREEN MANALISHI BAND. Since 2006, the band has been following its own blues path, drawing inspiration from, among others, the work of Peter Green, John Mayall, Eric Clapton, B.B. King, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Free tickets will be available from 8 October from 4.00 p.m. on the biletyna.pl portal and at the DOK Ursynów ticket machine.
