Niewarszawa at Prom Kultury Saska Kępa

It is an extraordinary musical journey where history meets poetry and theatre. The programme was created from songs used in the play "Niewarszawa" (premiered in 2020), and today it takes the form of an emotionally charged concert that tells the true – sometimes improbable – stories of 20th-century figures. The audience is transported to Widmowa Street, where the ghosts of the past weave their songs. Here we meet a legendary female agent, Churchill's favourite, the prototype for Bond girls and Ian Fleming's inspiration for writing Casino Royale. We get to know more closely the fate of a poet who posed for the Warsaw Mermaid, and a Nigerian jazzman and Warsaw insurgent.
