In Włochy we are celebrating the 12th nationwide Night of Libraries on 3 October 2026 (Saturday). We invite you to Wypożyczalnia nr 28 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
We have prepared attractions for you that will be remembered for a long time:
5:00 PM: Trop Sekret – workshops for future detectives led by Joanna Jagiełło, author of, among others, the series "Biuro Śledcze Trop Sekret".
We invite children over 7 years of age who like riddles and mysteries and want to test themselves in the role of a detective. During the workshops they will have the opportunity to play the role of an employee of a detective agency and face a case requiring careful observation, cooperation and deduction. During the workshops children:
– will learn how to collect and analyze clues,
– will check how deduction and connecting facts work,
– will solve a mystery step by step,
– will create their own mini detective cases.
These are workshops for everyone who likes to think, ask questions and look for answers where they are not obvious. Because anyone can become a detective – all it takes is curiosity and a bit of cleverness.

6:30 PM: Author meeting with Wojciech Chmielarz
We invite adults to a conversation with Wojciech Chmielarz – one of the most highly regarded contemporary authors of crime novels.
Wojciech Chmielarz is the author of, among others, the series about Commissioner Mortka: "Podpalacz" (2012), "Farma lalek" (2013), "Przejęcie" (2014), "Osiedle marzeń" (2016), "Cienie" (2018), "Długa noc" (2022), "Rytuał" (2025); the so-called Gliwice trilogy: "Wampir" (2015), "Zombie" (2017), "Wilkołak" (2021); the post-apocalyptic novel "Królowa głodu" (2014), as well as psychological thrillers, including "Żmijowisko" (2018), "Rana" (2019), "Wyrwa" (2020), "Zbędni" (2024) and "Złotowłosa" (2025).
Based on "Żmijowisko" by Wojciech Chmielarz, a series was created directed by Łukasz Palkowski, with a screenplay by Dana Łukasińska and Wojciech Chmielarz. "Wyrwa", on the other hand, was adapted for the screen in 2023 – the film was directed by Bartosz Konopka, and the screenplay was written by Marcin Ciastoń.
The meeting is held as part of the anniversary series "Włochowski Wieczór z Kryminałem".
