Pavilion of Dance: Unconsumed. Research

Unconsumed. Research by Karolina Kraczkowska is a performance that examines femininity and the ways in which it is shaped by social expectations and stereotypes. The starting point for the artist's exploration is what is "unconsumed" – the potential that escapes imposed roles and demands realization. How can the body be used to question social and political divisions related to gender? What happens to the image of the female body when it becomes an object of evaluation, consumption, and desire? The performance uses movement and metaphorical visual language to examine various imaginings of femininity. It challenges patriarchal patterns that define what an "ideal" woman should be and seeks possibilities for reformulating them. Unconsumed. Research also combines what is often presented as contradictory in patriarchal culture: sexuality and spirituality. Unconsumed. Research is a continuation of Karolina Kraczkowska's choreographic explorations begun in 2024 with the performance Unconsumed at the opening of the new MSN headquarters in Warsaw.
