"Pelcia, or how to live so as not to achieve success"
When an artist decides to withdraw from the world, an investigation begins: is it a matter of maladjustment? Loss of talent? Arrogance? And above all: does she have the right to do so? We have grown accustomed to the uninterrupted presence of stars in the media space, to constant news about their private lives, and to the necessity of being available to viewers and journalists. But is this really an artist's obligation?
In Joanna Szczepkowska's original play, a mature woman accidentally meets the young leader of an extravagant music band. For the boy, entering the heroine's world is like crossing a magical threshold, beyond which lies an unreal experience, and he begins to descend into madness. Two completely different perspectives, two different eras, and above all – two generations, performing a peculiar game with each other, in which two distinct personalities clash: Marta, lonely by choice and unable to find her place in the modern world, and Piotr, chasing success, fame, and constant "happening." What will come of this meeting? What secret does Marta hide? And who is the titular Pelcia?
