Share blood and help others

The blood donation drive is organized under the honorary patronage of Krzysztof Miszewski – Mayor of the Targówek District in cooperation with the Legion Skrzydłooraz HDK Club Branch and the Regional Centre for Blood Donation and Blood Treatment in Warsaw. The partners of the drive are the Warsaw Group Luka&Maro and Primary School No. 380 in Warsaw. Participants who decide to donate blood will also be greeted with small gifts prepared by the centre's tenants – Green Caffè Nero and Cukiernia Olsza. People planning to donate blood should properly prepare for the donation. Before the visit, it is worth ensuring proper hydration and drinking a larger amount of water, as well as eating a light, low-fat meal. A donor should be well-rested, healthy and must not be under the influence of alcohol or other intoxicating substances. It is also recommended to limit intense physical exertion both before and after donating blood. On site, it will be necessary to present a photo ID. Any healthy person aged 18-65, weighing no less than 50 kg, can be a blood donor. In the case of a recent tattoo, medical procedure or foreign travel, temporary disqualifications may apply.
