Post-premiere performances at Współczesny: Metro Afganistan

Poland in 2050, a veteran of the mission in Afghanistan and Andrzej Kmicic on one journey. In the presented world, Poland has long remained outside the European Union and NATO, and war has become a distant memory. The Major, a former soldier, together with his daughter Oliwia, sets off on the trail of his past. Kmicic joins them, bringing to this expedition the Sienkiewicz ethos and national fantasy. Absurd humor and political satire accompany questions about why we need enemies and how the past shapes our relationships. The play is directed by Maciej Białoruski, winner of the second edition of the Teatr Współczesny competition for directors beginning their professional path. In the cast: Ewa Konstancja Bułhak, Monika Pawlicka, Elżbieta Zajko, Mariusz Jakus and Mateusz Król. More on the theater's website
