Between Satiety and Eternity - book premiere

7 October (Wednesday) 17:00-19:00 Admission free, but reservation of places is required The meeting is intended for adults – parents, teachers, educators, psychologists, but younger participants are also welcome. "Between Satiety and Eternity" is the title of the third book in the "Between..." series, created by Katarzyna Jackowska-Enemuo and Nika Jaworowska-Duchlińska, and published by Wydawnictwo Albus. It is a collection of fairy tales based on motifs taken from mythology and the traditional vision of the world, telling about... Well, exactly. On the one hand, about those elements of food that have rich and deep symbolic meaning in culture. Those that served not only to satisfy hunger, but also to sustain the continuity of life and the world, that protected, opened paths between worlds, gave power and enabled a bond with ancestors. And on the other hand – these are stories about us, people, and our completely current affairs. About searching for one's own world, about learning oneself, about reclaiming inner power. And about celebrating – oneself, the world, and being in this world together with other people. This will not be an ordinary meeting. We will talk about the wisdom that we can find in old customs that perhaps were still practiced by our grandmothers, about why we need such books and for whom they are intended. We will also invite you to listen to a selected fairy tale performed by the author of the book and storyteller Katarzyna Jackowska-Enemuo, accompanied by live music performed by multi-instrumentalist Mateusz Szemraj (oud, cymbały, rubab, percussion). There will also be an opportunity for singing together! At the end of the meeting there will be time for creative activity - together with illustrator Nika Jaworowska-Duchlińska we will create small clay figurines. What do they symbolize?
