Designers of New Sports | Family Workshops

Sign up via the Evenea portal. First, together we will discover the lesser-known sports present in Warsaw, look at grassroots sports initiatives, and check how residents themselves create places for physical activity. We will also see what new sports spaces are being created in the city today and how the ways of spending free time are changing. Then we will fire up our imagination! Participants will develop the rules of a new sport, come up with what it should look like, and finally build the necessary equipment or space for practicing it. What new sports disciplines will emerge? What will the places for practicing new sports look like? It all depends on your creativity! We invite families with children aged 6+ to the workshops. Please register each participating person. The workshops will be led by: Wiola Januszko – architect, educator, and creator of digital collages. Graduate of the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology. Coordinator of the educational program at Zodiak. Natalia Cichoń – architect, educator. Graduate of the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology and postgraduate studies at the National Institute of Architecture and Urban Planning. Currently associated with Zodiak. This event accompanies the exhibition Miasto w Ruchu. Information about the accessibility of the event: The event will take place on Saturday, November 14 at 12:00 PM. We invite everyone interested aged 6+. Admission to the event is free. Registration via the Evenea portal is required. Architectural accessibility: The event will take place on the ground floor of the building, which you enter from sidewalk level. The entrance door opens automatically outward. If you use a wheelchair or a stroller, the building is fully accessible to you. Inside there is an elevator that will take you to all levels of the building. On the ground floor, near the meeting place, you will find toilets, including a bathroom with a baby changing table adapted to the needs of people with mobility difficulties. How to get to the event? Location: You will find our pavilion in the very center of the city at Pasaż Stefana Wiecheckiego „Wiecha” 4 in Warsaw. The entrance inside is located directly from the side of the square in front of the building. Public transport: Just 250 meters from the building there are bus stops, tram stops, and a metro station. All these stops are marked with the name „Centrum”. Bicycle: You can comfortably reach the pavilion via bicycle paths that lead to Widok street. Right next to the building entrance we have prepared 24 bicycle parking spaces for you. Car: We do not have our own parking lot, and direct access to the entrance is not possible, so look for the nearest available spaces on Widok street. Additionally, on Chmielna street, in the immediate vicinity of the pavilion, you will find 2 parking spaces for people with disabilities. Evacuation: The building is equipped with clear directional markings and sound signals that will help you in case of evacuation. On the ground floor you will find 4 emergency exits, thanks to which you will quickly leave the facility. Once outside, head to Pasaż Stefana Wiecheckiego „Wiecha”, as that is where the assembly point for evacuated persons has been designated.
