Fifth Spelling Showdown

The competition will take place on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 12:00 PM in the Auditorium of the Wilanów District Office at ul. Klimczaka 2. The Wilanowska Public Library and the Wilanów District Office invite you to participate. Participants will face a text bristling with spelling traps and punctuation twists. The correct conduct of the competition will be overseen by the Foundation for the Polish Language under the leadership of Katarzyna Nowak. The main prize is a color e-book reader. Material prizes also await the best participants. The dictation is open to persons who have reached the age of 15. The competition is not intended for students and graduates of Polish philology, academic staff in this field, laureates of previous editions of the Wilanów Dictation, the National Dictation or the National Spelling Test, as well as persons associated with the Foundation for the Polish Language, involved in preparing the competition, and members of their families. Registration is also available by phone at 22 277 03 77. Registration of enrolled participants will take place on November 7 from 11:00 AM to 11:50 AM in the Auditorium. The completed registration form must be submitted to the organizers no later than the day of the competition. Registration means acceptance of the rules and consent to the processing of personal data.
