4.10.2026 / Sunday / 12.00–13.30 Park Dolinka Służewska / meeting in the park behind SDK / free admission Lichens are extraordinary organisms and natural indicators of environmental quality. Their presence and diversity say a lot about the state of the air and habitats. During a walk with magnifying glasses around Dolinka Służewska, we will look at lichens up close, learn about their various forms and colors, and find out why some disappear and others reappear. Please bring your own magnifying glasses – preferably jeweler's or pocket ones. Led by: Marta Poławska – lichenology expert and ecologist, she has conducted lichen research in Białowieski Park Narodowy and Dolinka Służewska, among others. Creator of environmental education programs at the Museum of King Jan III's Palace at Wilanów. She educates about the role of lichens as bioindicators, combining science, art, and nature.
