Give blood – gift life!

Mayor Grzegorz Pietruczuk assumed honorary patronage over blood donation events organized by the Honorary Blood Donors Club of the Polish Red Cross "Dar Serca". This is a unique initiative thanks to which Warsaw residents can genuinely support saving the life and health of people in need of priceless blood supplies. The "Dar Serca" Club has been actively promoting the idea of honorary blood donation for over 45 years, organizing events in Warsaw and Mazovia.
Honorary blood donation is one of the most beautiful gestures of social solidarity – blood saves lives, and its supplies in blood donation centers are often insufficient. The Honorary Blood Donors Club of the PCK "Dar Serca" has for years engaged Warsaw residents to participate in blood donation events – both in public spaces and on the occasion of local events. The events are organized in cooperation with the Regional Center for Blood Donation and Blood Therapy, local partners and institutions to enable as many willing people as possible to donate blood at convenient locations and times.
Why is it worth donating blood?
blood is priceless help for patients in serious condition, accident victims or people after surgical procedures;
it is a gesture of solidarity and social responsibility;
every donor receives information about their health and the feeling that someone's life can be saved thanks to them.
