Sensory play
On Thursday, 15 October 2026 at 4:00 PM, the Library for Children and Youth no. 22 invites parents with children aged 2.5 and older to take part in "Sensory Play".
The prepared activities will encourage little ones to explore the world around them using their senses, such as touch, smell, taste, sound, and sight. Through such play, a child's brain learns to better process and interpret sensory stimuli, which is crucial for their development.
In October, for the activities we will use: a sensory path made of materials with various textures (pom-poms, sponges, soft fabric, tissue paper, sensory mats) and a pumpkin, which children will look at, touch, and use their hands or a spoon to scoop out the flesh and seeds, and then describe the smell, appearance, and texture. Finally, each child will make their own sensory pumpkin from a paper template covered with materials of various textures: pumpkin seeds, tissue paper, pieces of yarn, leaves, peas.
The classes will be led by Ms. Izabela Denisiuk, a preschool education teacher who conducts sensory classes in preschool groups.
Admission is free. Registration required: +48 (22) 863 89 61 or
