(Un)shaped" – biographical theater and unique visual staging
October 17, 2026, 18:00 · DKŚ - Scena na Smolnej · ulica Smolna 9
The stage space resembles a 19th-century sculptor's workshop. Among clay, plaster casts and unfinished forms, the audience can immerse themselves in the world of the protagonist and accompany her through the successive stages of her life.
Description of the performance
Stone. Raw, heavy, silent. Such as nature gives it - untamed, true. It was from this matter that Camille Claudel built her world - as a sculptor and artist who dared to seek herself beyond the frames imposed on her. Stone was for her a space of freedom; it gave strength, but also allowed itself to be changed.
It was in it that she found form and her own identity.
"(un)shaped" is a monodrama about the life and work of Camille Claudel - a woman who refused to be merely a muse. Creating in a world dominated by men, as a student and partner of Rodin, she constantly fought for creative and human independence. Her path is the story of an artist forced to constantly negotiate her position: in her relationship with a man, with her family and with herself. It is a tale of rejecting expectations and seeking a new language of expression - not through words, but through stone and gesture. Claudel's sculptures become here a form of rebellion, a manifesto and an attempt at survival.Although the story is individual, it carries universal questions: has so much changed since then? Do contemporary women - artists, directors, leaders - still have to carve out their place in a system that was not created with them in mind?
Returning to Camille...was she shaped by her environment or did she remain unyielding?
We invite you into the world of a woman who was ahead of her time and still speaks to us with contemporary force. She really wants you to get to know her!

Symbolic props
An important element of the performance are the props, including Auguste Rodin's jacket and raw clay. These objects become part of the story and evoke the protagonist's most important experiences.
A memorable finale
A special place in the performance is occupied by the plaster dress worn by the actress. In the final scene it falls apart before the audience's eyes, creating one of the most striking images of the performance.
We invite you! Free invitations are available for collection at the Information Point of the Śródmieście District Office from 9 October 2026 (during the office's opening hours). The number of places is limited. Invitations are issued in accordance with the Regulations .
