On 24 October at 18:00 we invite you to the auditorium hall of WAT at ul. Kaliskiego 25a for a concert by Ula Dudziak with a guest appearance by Miki Urbaniak.
Urszula Dudziak probably needs no introduction, a Polish jazz vocalist and composer. Recognized as one of the best jazz vocalists in the world. She has performed and recorded together with such musicians as: Krzysztof Komeda, Bobby McFerrin, Herbie Hancock, Nina Simone, Sting and many others.
One could list her extraordinary vocal range, perfect intonation and unique vocal technique, but music is only a part of Urszula Dudziak. A woman who possesses within herself immeasurable reserves of optimism, which she bestows on everyone around her. Perhaps in the case of someone else it would sound like a cliché, but it is enough to be in her presence for a moment to understand that this energy is a true superpower. Urszula Dudziak encourages other women to take action – regardless of age. She shows how to seize life with both hands and grasp every moment.
After a long break, the artist decided to release her next album independently, in her own way, on her own terms, and she was helped in this by longtime musicians and collaborators. The album was released independently by the Artist. "I am having great fun that my new album has seen the light of day. There are very diverse tracks on it, because that is what I am like, I like extremes and constant movement between them. From classical music to strange craziness that can frighten, while others soothe and calm.
"I am taking you on an extreme journey, through my aesthetics, taste, sensitivity and experiment. On this album there are my compositions that sat in my treasure drawer and have been shouting for a long time to change their place of residence."
After the concert, there will be an opportunity to buy the album with the Artist's autograph.
