Warsaw in the light of scientific research

The conference is a meeting place for researchers, doctoral students, students, and practitioners interested in Warsaw as a subject and context of multidimensional scientific research. For years, it has connected various disciplines, theoretical perspectives, and methodological approaches, creating a space for the exchange of knowledge about the capital, its social, economic, spatial, environmental, and institutional transformations. The conference topics include, among others, issues concerning: socio-demographic processes and changes in the structure of Warsaw's population, transformations of socio-spatial structures, urban differentiations and inequalities, urban policies, city management, and planning processes, the city's economic development, labor market, entrepreneurship, services, and metropolitan functions, climate, adaptation to climate change, urban ecology, and non-human inhabitants of the city, mobility, transport, infrastructure, and spatial accessibility, culture, heritage, urban identity, social life, and everyday practices of residents, urban innovations, new technologies, digitalization, and urban data, public spaces, transformation of the city's space, and changes in Warsaw's urban landscape. The program of individual sessions will be prepared on the basis of submitted papers and posters. We aim to create an open, interdisciplinary space for presenting research results, exchanging experiences, and engaging in friendly, substantive discussion. Participation in the conference is free of charge. After the event, a peer-reviewed scientific monograph featuring authors of accepted presentations is planned. This is a great opportunity to present your own research, take part in an interdisciplinary discussion, and network with representatives of science, business, and public administration.
