Wawer Independence Parade 2026

This year's event will be an opportunity for joint celebration and discovering the work of Andrzej Wajda, whose year we celebrate in 2026. The Wawer Independence Parade, organized by the Falenica Cultural Society in cooperation with the Wawer District Office and the Wawer Cultural Center, has engaged the local community for years, especially children and youth. The program includes: a march with an orchestra, joint singing of the anthem and patriotic songs, a joint polonaise, a quiz devoted to Andrzej Wajda's filmography. Participants will be able to view the art exhibition "Andrzej Wajda. Master. Portrait," film presentations prepared by Wawer youth, and visit a film atelier. A hot pea soup is planned for the finale. The organizer of the event is the Falenica Cultural Society. The project is co-financed by the Wawer District Office of the Capital City of Warsaw, implemented as part of a small grant entitled "Organization of the Wawer Independence Parade 2026."
