Art exhibition opening at Galeria pod Antresolą

Bukietowa 4a In the gallery at Bukietowa, a new exhibition of paintings by female painters who have already shown their work in Mała Galeria at Czerniakowska. Come and see the art! Since the previous exhibition, Katarzyna Baumann and Agata Tomaszewska have painted many new paintings – and these are the ones worth seeing in October in the new Galeria pod Antresolą at Bukietowa. You will be surprised by the themes and colors of the artists' latest works. The exhibition can be viewed throughout the month, and already on October 2 (Friday) at 6:00 PM the painters invite you to the exhibition opening. Who are Katarzyna Baumann and Agata Tomaszewska? Katarzyna Baumann – by education a lawyer and criminologist. Since 1977 she has lived in Fribourg in Switzerland, where she began learning monument conservation in the form of an apprenticeship. She then worked on her own account, both for private clients and for the city of Fribourg. After many years, she came to Poland for the first time since leaving and, enchanted by Polish painting, she created the "ART DE L'EST" gallery in Fribourg. In 1999 she completed law studies at the University of Fribourg, and then postgraduate studies in criminology. She took up painting after returning to Poland. Since 2019 she has been participating in Akademia Otwarta classes at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. She took part in Lech Żukrowski's classes at the Warsaw Castle and various private painting classes. She has participated several times in plein air workshops in Dłużew. Agata Tomaszewska – by education she is an IT specialist and translator, but she has been painting for over a dozen years. She started with a course at Lech Żurkowski's "Ścieżka" studio and his classes at the Royal Castle, where she had the opportunity to become familiar with a wide variety of artistic techniques. Although she tried watercolor in classes led by Minh Dam, as well as at Magazyn Sztuk, she ultimately stayed with oil painting. For several years she has been participating in painting and drawing courses at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts as part of the Akademia Otwarta "Dorośli do sztuki" program, and sometimes also in classes at the Royal Castle and private courses. She also takes part in Akademia Otwarta plein air workshops. She is currently pursuing postgraduate studies in painting and art history at Uczelnia Łukaszewski.
