"Portrait of the Artist as an Old Man" is an intimate yet deeply moving theatrical performance based on a text by the eminent Austrian playwright Thomas Bernhard. Jan Peszek is not only the performer of the main role but also responsible for the original adaptation of the text. The performance is an elaborate combination of word, musical setting and sparse stage form. At the center of the show is a study of maturity and the confession of an artist who uncompromisingly examines his own creative path, theater and human nature.
