Plane Spotting at Chopin Airport

There are several observation points: The most popular one is roughly to the west of the map, where there are always people. For introverts, there is a spot slightly to the east, where usually no one is around. You can cycle along the airport perimeter and take photos and videos. The culture of spotting originated during World War II in the UK. Civilians and volunteers were tasked with watching the sky and recording the numbers and types of aircraft to distinguish enemy planes from friendly ones. Over time, this military activity turned into a popular peaceful hobby.
